Mission Accomplished

Well after much procrastination I finally painted my cabinet and hall tree black! and I must say they both look much better and now, currently match all the other furniture in our house!

Unfortunately the influence of this site has forced me to believe that I now need to refinish these dreadful eyesores in hopes they will find new life!
I have ALWAYS absolutely HATED our bedroom furniture so a couple of years ago I decided to atleast ditch the matching headboard and make my own. But, now that I have decided to refinish the matching pieces I am rather disappointed that I gave up on it so soon!
Oh well nothing I can do about it now! So, I was thinking of painting them an antique white and then rubbing stain into the crevices to add age and character, what do you think? Also I was thinking of maybe painting the headboard an accent color, maybe a deep red??? Any creative suggestions would be much appreciated! Notice the cute little bed bug, I made that too ;)

I like the stain idea. That will definitely look really good. You did a great job on the other stuff too. You are very talented.

I love that idea. I antiqued my kitchen cabinets and they are highly tolerable now compared to before. You are extremely talented.

All your stuff is way cute. As for my picture at the top of my blog page, the photographer did all the cool stuff...I wish I could be that good, I know the basics. Thanks for your help with the scrape pages.

I love the furniture. When you're done with your projects could you head my way?
