Confessions of guilt...

Ok, ok I was trying really hard to be better at posting but, we have been really busy lately and I haven't had the time to sit down and actually do it! It just takes so long for me cuz' I haven't really gotten the hang of things yet and I cannot create a post without having a picture in it and my computer is forever slow lately so it takes extra long to upload a photo! But in order to rid myself of the constant nagging in the back of my mind that I need to post I am going to force myself to do it, so bare with me this may be a long one :) Here are some of the things we have been up to...

First we roofed our house (we not including me :) Brooklyn and I were the water girls and errand runners!)

Next we FINALLY finished our landscaping!!! YEAHH!! We waited for our gray block retaining wall for almost 5 years (our back-door neighbors were supposed to put it in before they moved in to their home, needless to say that didn't happen)

Here is a before picture of our disgusting dead weed/grassHere are the after pictures of our new beautiful grass!! We put gravel at the back corner so Shawn could park his trailer back there and I even talked him in to 2 peach trees!! We are still adding flowers and bushes, but they all look really sad right now because of the heat.We painted our living and dining rooms, redecorated and purchased new furniture. Our house finally feels like a home instead of some college apartment and we LOVE it!!
Last but not least, Grandpa Olds' apricot tree is overloaded with fruit so every time we go down to visit he sends us home with atleast a bucket full of fruit! So, I have been drying fruit and making jam with as much as I can before it goes bad, which I must say is not easy when you have a 9 month old that thinks she is much older than she truly is!
Now that this post has taken me over an hour, I might learn my lesson and not slack off again :) we shall see...

I was beginning to think that I might have to make up stories about you on your blog just so that I would have something to read about when I checked it out. K, so that sounds a bit crazy, but my kids have made me the way I am. I love the yard, and the furniture. I need you to come up my way and do my yard now. Love ya much, and give your big girl a kiss from her favorite great aunt. :)

Your yard looks great!! I love the new furniture and paint. I am the most impressed with the fruit. Great job. That leather looks so yummy!! Thank you for being you. The ride out the other night was so fun to chat with you. I wish we had more time to chat like that, but under better circumstances.
